Engagement Gateway - latest

Had some pleasing news this morning when I got into work and that is our recent tender in partnership with G2G Communities has been successful. So after the 10 day cooling period we will be getting down to discussing with WCVA the delivery of the project which is all about training in the community. A really exciting venture and I am sure there will be good take up from everyone in Rhyl as that is where the project will be based .

I am now turning my attention to areas south of Rhyl for regeneration activity and see Denbigh as the next area just waiting for  development and again with the right partners I am sure there is much we can do. That's not forgetting other areas of Denbighshire but given our capacity is limited we do have to pace ourselves if we are to deliver meaningful projects across the County. Oh yes and before I forget we haven't given up on the idea of establishing a permanent presence in Rhyl , its just producing the feasibility study is taking a  little longer than expected. I am hoping it will be completed by  next month so that we can start the new year off with a clear plan of action. Of course if there are any philanthropic funders out there who might just have a few hundred thousand pounds in loose change don't forget DVSC is always keen to help share the  burden and relieve you of the cash as a permanent location in Rhyl will cost.

Finally I thank you all for your comments on my blog and am heartened that there is so much support out there for us which we really do  appreciate.  Suggestions are also very welcome and so why not have a look at our new strategic/business plan on our web site  and let us know what you think. I am told we are being very ambitious in these straightened times  and so what do you think?
